You can search for specific events for the Lives of Buildings
programme over
26 June to 28 June 2009 on this page. Please note for those
events that were
pre-book only, bookings are now closed. Where events are
fully booked this
is indicated, otherwise there are still places available
so you can try and
join on the day! (NB. availability not guaranteed)
You will need to visit the Lives of Buildings pages to
download a pdf of the full list of events. You
can search in the above section by a number of criteria
- by event name, event address, type, borough. If you want
to browse all buildings, don't enter any criteria and click
on 'Submit'. If you click on 'show all' this will also
list every entry. Each entry will be prefaced by 'LoB:'
indicating that it is part of the Lives of Buildings programme.
You can choose the number of results you wish to see at any time (10, 20 or 50). Results will show in the column on the right and are also marked on the map. When there are many results you can use the pagination at the bottom of the column to see the next results.
The map markers may take a short time to download. Click on the markers for the bubble which has more information. The link within the bubble takes you to the detail page, as do the links in the search results column.
For an event that can be booked in advance via Open House, you will see a link to prebooking online on the detail page. Some events may require booking in advance via our partner organisations - this will also be indicated on the relevant detail page.
Use the Directions tab to find your way around between events.
Zoom in and out of the map to see more or less detail, especially if markers are crowded. Drag the map as required.
Make a donation to the Open House charity, support our educational projects for London's future generations.A Victorian church rehabilitated to include art gallery and gym in 'a building within a building' - a stunning ark or pod by Matthew Lloyd Architects.
